The Sanctuary
I am building this space because I need it...
a place to rest, regulate, and exhale while my child is safe next door.

You take care of everyone.
This is the place that takes care of you.
The Sanctuary is a place here in Las Vegas for parents and caregivers of neurodivergent and intellectually disabled children — the ones quietly giving more of themselves than most people will ever see.

I know this journey because I’m living it too.

There have been moments when I wished there was a place where someone understood what caregivers carry… a place to set the weight down for a little while and remember I wasn’t alone.

The Sanctuary grew from that need in my own heart.

It was shaped by the love and sacrifice of two extraordinary women in my life my mom, Mary, and my soul sister, Sami, who showed me just how much caregivers give, and how deeply they deserve a place that gives something back.

A place to rest.
A place to learn.
A place to connect.

And most of all, a place where you can feel the love that lives here — and know it’s here for you too.
The Place I Needed… And Still Do

Because some seasons of caregiving don’t end. They simply ask us to keep showing up.
There’s a moment most caregivers don’t talk about.
It happens in the car. Or in the shower.
Or late at night when the house is finally quiet and everyone else is asleep.

It’s the moment when you think:

I love this kid with everything in me.

But the truth about this journey is that sometimes it feels like there isn’t a light at the end of the tunnel… because the tunnel never really ends.

And then almost immediately, the guilt shows up for even thinking it.

I’m building the Sanctuary because caregiver burnout is real — especially for parents raising children with special needs here in Las Vegas — and I don’t believe you’re meant to carry all of this alone.

The appointments.
The IEP meetings.
The therapies.
The constant advocacy.
The emotional weight that never really seems to let up.

Most systems focus on the child.

Very few focus on the caregiver.

This place does.

Inside the Sanctuary
Every room here was created with caregivers in mind.
Some spaces help you rest. Some help you learn.
Some simply remind you that you’re not alone.
But every single one exists for the same reason:
So the people who carry the most…
finally have a place that carries them too.

THE RESET LOUNGE
A place for your nervous system to soften.
Caregivers live in high alert.

Emails.
Appointments.
Advocacy.
Meltdowns.
Constant anticipation of what might happen next.

This room is the opposite of that.
Soft light.
Quiet space.
A place to sit, breathe, and let your body reset.
Not childcare respite.
Rest for you.

The Strength Rooms
Where caregivers come back to themselves.

I didn’t build these classrooms to give you more to do.

You already carry enough.

These rooms exist so caregivers can grow stronger — emotionally, practically, and personally.

We talk about things like:

• burnout and how to actually reset
• advocacy without losing yourself
• deal-breakers without guilt
• marriage under pressure
• planning for your child’s future

Not in a clinical way.
In a real way.

You won’t leave with a binder.
You’ll leave feeling stronger in your own skin.

If something inside you whispers I need that, trust it.
Mary's Restoration Room
A place to breathe again.

This room carries my mom’s name, Mary, because she gave more of herself than anyone should ever have to give.

She believed deeply in the kind of quiet that allows people to heal.

Inside this room you’ll find sound beds, infrared therapy, meditation, and breathwork...all designed to help caregivers restore their nervous systems.

Not perfectly.
Not instantly.
Just one breath at a time.

Most people come here exhausted.
They leave realizing how different life can feel when restoration becomes part of their rhythm.

The Compass Room
Where the answers are waiting for you.
Finding the right support for a neurodivergent child can feel like navigating a maze.

The Compass Room exists so you don’t have to do that alone.

This space connects families across Las Vegas and Clark County with trusted providers:

Speech therapists
Occupational therapists
Financial planners
Transition specialists
Parent mental health support
Alternative Health Options

Not a directory.
A starting point.

Because the right guidance at the right moment can change everything.
No more late-night Googling.
We connect families across Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, and Clark County to vetted:

The Gathering Cafe'
A place where caregivers find their people.
When you walk into this space, I want you to feel understood without having to explain your life.

No translating therapy acronyms.
No explaining IEP meetings.

Just coffee, conversation, and people who understand what this journey actually feels like.

Because one of the hardest parts of raising a neurodivergent child is the isolation.

Community changes that.

Some caregivers stop in for coffee.
Others slowly realize they’ve found the community they didn’t know they needed.

Sami's Round Table

The conversations we were meant to have.

This circle carries Sami’s name for a reason.
Sami needed us to have these conversations.
The honest ones.

The ones caregivers carry quietly.

The fear. The exhaustion.
The love that feels almost sacred.

This isn’t a traditional support group.

There’s no expert at the front of the room.

Just a circle of parents who understand.
Some nights you’ll talk.
Some nights you’ll simply listen.
But every time, something shifts.

Because the truth becomes lighter when it’s spoken in the right room.

If your heart feels pulled toward this circle, that’s usually a sign you belong in it.
The Heart Hall
A place where our
community gathers.
Some moments deserve a bigger room.

The Hearth Hall is where caregivers come together to learn, celebrate, and remember that they are part of something larger than their own journey.

This is where we’ll host:
• community gatherings
• special guest speakers
• caregiver appreciation events
• workshops and celebrations
• nights where parents simply come together and breathe a little easier

Because something powerful happens when a room fills with people who understand each other.

The weight gets lighter.
The laughter gets louder.

And the reminder becomes clear:
You were never meant to carry this alone.

Some of the most meaningful nights at the Sanctuary will happen in this room.

Sami's Secret Santa
Some traditions carry more meaning than others.

Sami’s Secret Santa was created to continue the spirit of someone who believed deeply in showing up for people...especially when they needed it most.

Each year, our Sanctuary community comes together to support foster children across Las Vegas and Clark County, many of whom are navigating incredibly difficult circumstances.

Sometimes it’s gifts.
Sometimes it’s resources.
Sometimes it’s simply the reminder that someone out there sees them and cares.

What makes this tradition special isn’t the presents.

It’s the feeling that a community is standing beside children who deserve to feel remembered and loved.

Sami believed deeply in showing up for people... whether through honest conversation or quiet generosity.
This tradition carries that spirit forward.

Every year, this tradition reminds us just how powerful a caring community can be.

The Place Caregivers Didn’t Know They Needed
Until they walked through the doors.
This is what many caregivers discover after visiting.

They come the first time because they’re exhausted.

They return because something here feels different.

Maybe it’s the quiet moment in Mary’s Restoration Room.
Maybe it’s the relief of sitting at Sami’s Round Table and realizing you’re not the only one carrying these thoughts.

Maybe it’s simply walking into a room where no one needs you to explain your life.

Over time, many caregivers choose to become Sanctuary members..not because they have to, but because this place becomes part of the rhythm that helps them keep going.

The Sanctuary Member Promise
I created Sanctuary Membership because I know caregivers don’t just need encouragement.

They need places.
Places where they can rest, learn, talk honestly, and remember they’re not alone.

This space was never created to add more pressure to your life.
It was created to take some of that weight off.

Here, you’ll find real conversations, real support, and spaces designed to help caregivers restore their strength... not just push through another day.

You don’t have to show up perfectly.
You don’t have to have the answers.
You just have to show up as you are.

The Sanctuary will meet you there.

And whether you visit once in a while or become part of the community as a member, you are always welcome here.

Before you go…

The Sanctuary was shaped by the love of two people who gave more of themselves than anyone should ever have to give — my mom Mary and my soul sister Sami.

Their lives changed me.
And in many ways, they are the reason this place exists.
My hope is that every caregiver who walks through these doors feels even a small piece of the love they gave to the world.

All my love,
Heather
